We travelled in the Balkans for many months (Alabania/Bosnia/Montenegro etc) and the internet from a tethered local simcard was always perfect (up a mountain or in a city there was no buffering). In the UK we travel frequently and 50% of the places we stop have almost zero connectivity. The UK is the worst experience I have had in Europe.
